How Family Deck of Cards works
A simple way to turn the photos on your phone into memory cards that support conversation, connection, and reminiscence.
1. Add your photos
Open My Deck and tap “Add lots of photos” or “Add one card with details.” Photos are saved on your own phone, tablet, or computer — never uploaded.
2. Add names and details
Give each card a name and a few facts: where they were born, their work, a favorite memory. Cards you skip wait in a “Needs Info” pile until you’re ready.
3. Take a Memory Journey
Go one photo at a time through six gentle steps: look, recognize, recall, connect, reminisce, and come back to it later.
4. Play together
Flip cards in Family Trivia, make a Poster, read Story & Recall, or try the Alzheimer’s Awareness Quiz. Play alone or pass the phone around.
5. Keep the dates and the stories
Save birthdays and anniversaries on each card, add them to your calendar, and export your deck as a backup file to move it to another device.
